The Pendleton was designed as part of a master plan for the Villages of Cranberry Woods in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. The Villages of Cranberry Woods was planned and designed according to the main tenets of Smart Growth: a Greenfield development of compact, walkable, interconnected neighborhoods. The residential structures were organized around a central main road, and consisted of 5 multi-family buildings and a number of townhouses including live/work units. Exterior amenities were incorporated into the project to benefit residents, tenants, and visitors of the development. The structures included large corridor buildings, which wrapped around an open parking garage, as well as smaller garden buildings with integrated private garages.

The heart of the development is an integrated community amenity that opens onto a lush private courtyard. Inside the amenity space there are spaces for fitness, a business center, as well as an open gathering space with a lounge area. The courtyard includes meticulously landscaped seating areas, an outdoor kitchen, and a luxurious pool.
